Frequently Asked Questions
1. What does “Maldhaany Waya” mean?
Maldhaany Waya is a Wiradjuri phrase that I shaped with intention. “Maldhaany” means maker, and “Waya” means spiral—together reflecting the natural rhythms and wisdom of Country. I chose this name because spirals are everywhere: in nature, in emotion, in the ways we grow, retreat, and return. Sometimes we spiral up, sometimes down, sometimes outward. To me, the spiral is movement with memory—and I want to be a maker of spirals, shaping offerings that reflect growth, healing, and connection. Each item is created with story, care, and reverence, honouring the spiral as a symbol of transformation and remembering.
2. Where are your materials sourced from?
Our materials are selected with great care, honouring both sustainability and story. We source natural fibres, botanicals, and jewellery components from trusted suppliers across Australia, prioritising ethical and hypoallergenic options wherever possible. Wood, resin, raffia, feathers, and desert seeds are gathered or purchased to reflect the rhythms of Country—with deep respect for cultural significance and environmental wellbeing. Every item is shaped slowly and intentionally, weaving together meaning, texture, and healing.
3. Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?
